Mabank, Texas Rising Star Riley Thompson Jumps Another Level on American Idol

Riley Thompson, the 16 year-old Mabank High school talent phenomenon, sang a “Like I Loved You” duet with singer/songwriter Brett Young to advance another round on national TV’s American Idol Sunday night.  The three-judge panel of Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie were visibly impressed with the performance with Katie noting that she heard entirely new and impressive vocal expressions with last night’s performance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkE-WFH94J4 Many of Riley’s loyal friends and local supporters gathered at the Twisted Sisters Wine bar on Mabank’s famed Market Street square for a much-celebrated watch party and a great time was had by all. Next week’s airing of the American Idol show will be the all-important fan voting edition so viewers are encouraged to tune in and weigh in with their social media voices for their favorite performer.  I know for sure who this voter will be rooting for.  Do you?
