The lake is surrounded by several bustling small towns offering many forms of dining and entertainment options. You can literally drive your gang up in the boat and eat, drink and be merry at Vernon’s Lakeside and the Tiki Hut at Lone Star Marina.  Or, for a more formal reservations-only meal, try the elegant V’s Steak House! There’s even a small airport, the Gun Barrel City Airpark, where small planes can fly in for a fishing trip, shopping or a weekend stay and play.
