Victor Hurtado opened his amazing retail shop, Victor’s Tools, Toys & Boots at Big Daddy’s Flea Market in 2004 with a well laid out dream and a show room floor that stood behind it.
Victor likes to point out that, while he’s had no formal training in retail design, marketing or advertising, he’s studied the craft carefully, watching and learning over the years. He’s observed how retail stores in malls and shopping centers have laid out their merchandise and worked hard to ensure his space number 125 at Big Daddy’s accommodates the customer shopping experience in a positive and productive way. Victor also learned the importance of customer service and product knowledge. Those lessons learned, over the years explains Victor, have helped him to be a successful retailer at Big Daddy’s Flea Market!
After initially opening his shop in 2004, customers immediately appreciated the array of competitively priced, used merchandise focusing on tools, toys and a wide selection of men’s, ladies and children’s western boots. Today, Victor has broadened the product offerings to include new merchandise as well.
Many of Victor’s customers are repeat but he’s always looking forward to meeting and greeting new customers and says that’s what he really likes about the cheerful, laid back atmosphere at Big Daddy’s Flea Market.
