Typically, when people think about property management services, they think of the practical – arranging and overseeing the maintenance of the home’s interior and exterior, as well as the property…land, boat house, etc. Those responsibilities are critical to protecting the value of the property and consistency of experience in the home.
Modern Home Concierge takes a different approach because the home/property is of utmost importance but so are the people that own it. The majority of my clients are business owners or executives that are responsible for their employees, their support infrastructure in their home homes and now their second home(s). So, my focus is not only on the practical, the tangible, but also the intangible. I want my clients to have peace of mind, absolutely, but I also want them to feel cared for to…whether it’s a welcome basket, fresh flowers, drinks chilled and waiting or a chocolate on the pillow, each stay at your home will make you feel as welcomed as your guests.
We offer a three tiered approach to our Lake Home Concierge service. ranging from Tier 1 regular house checks and minor repairs oversight to our Tier 3 full service Lake Home Management Program. Tier 3 has a sliding list of ala carte services that can include House checks, overseeing lawn care, housekeeping, general maintenance of home, boat/water toys, special projects as needed, as well as concierge services such stocking the kitchen, welcome baskets, fresh flowers, as decorating for the holidays or preparing for special events throughout the year. Modern Home Concierge Services values the opportunity to help clients prepare to move, purging the items that no longer fit their lifestyle and partnering with local non-profits so that the “excess” helps meet the needs in the community. There is an added benefit of not paying to move items you no longer need and being overwhelmed with excess boxes of items that no longer suit the family’s needs after the moving truck leaves the new home. If the client has already started their move, then Modern Home Concierge steps in to help them set up their new home by unpacking and organizing the functional areas of the home – master closet, bath, kitchen, and even the garage! If a client has lived in their home for a number of years and staying put, Modern Home Concierge helps them right-size so they no longer feel overwhelmed or embarrassed by “that” closet, room or garage. We tackle one area at a time, partnering with the home owner(s), so that each space make sense for how they live today and they can fully enjoy their entire home. We are respectful of your belongings and the client always makes the final decision. Anything that no longer suits can be sold, donated/recycled or discarded. Donated items are distributed specifically to local non-profits that can directly use those items (i.e. vintage clothes – local theater departments at high school, colleges, or community theater, etc.). We all have things that need to be taken care each week to maintain the function of the household. Modern Home Concierge Services can serve as your part-time personal assistant by tackling those Honey Do’s on a retainer basis or as needed.
