Our Story. Texas Lake & Land Real Estate Group was founded by partners Courtney Dickens and Matt Wood, two veteran real estate agents known for their expertise at several of the best lakes Texas has to offer. Courtney had a successful 25 year career in retail working for Foley’s, Ann Taylor, and Brookstone. She moved to Cedar Creek Lake in 2009, and has built a reputation of being one of the most talented agents in the area. She was recognized as The Henderson County Board of Realtor’s Top Producing Real Estate Agent in 2020. Courtney is highly regarded by both local agents and agents in other markets who have referred their clients for Cedar Creek Lake transactions.

Matt was trained at the three top brokerages in Dallas. He began his career at Allie Beth Allman & Associates, and spent nearly three years at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. He joined Compass during their Dallas launch in December of 2017, and managed the Lakewood office prior to returning to full time sales in January 2020. Matt is recognized as a leader in the East Texas Lake and land market, and continues to be active in the Dallas residential sales market.
